A Virtual Company Enhancing People-to-People Communication
Eight U.S. companies with a presence in Atlanta and an interest in Poland are sponsoring a one-day trade and investment conference to be held at the World Trade Center downtown on Monday, Sept. 28, during which Janusz Steinhoff, Poland’s economic minister, will be the keynote speaker. The purpose of the conference is to help senior executives evaluate opportunities and conduct successful business transactions in Poland.
The Atlanta office of the accounting and consulting firm Deloitte & Touche is a lead sponsor. Leslaw A. Paga, chairman and managing partner of Deloitte & Touche Poland and a member of the board of directors of Deloitte & Touche Central Europe, will be a featured speaker.
The law firm of Hunton & Williams, which has an office in Warsaw, is also a lead sponsor. Andrew Blatter, a New York-based partner at Hunton & Williams and formerly in the firm’s Warsaw office, is a featured speaker.
Other sponsors include Corporate Strategies International, an Atlanta-based consulting firm, Georgia Pacific, Invesco, Lucent Technologies, Melita International, and Scientific-Atlanta.
Other conference speakers include Marek Kempski, governor of the Silesian Region of Poland; Krzystof Lipka, partner, Deloitte & Touche Poland; Ewelina de Tusch-let, director, Polish Agency for International Investment; Misczylaw Gil, a representative from Krakow; Alek Szlam, chairman and CEO, Melita Inc., and Cedric Suzman, vice president, Southern Center for International Studies.
